Camps Organized by IMH
community camp held on 11/03/2013
On the occasion of International women's day, We have conducted "ANEMIA DETECTION CAMP" only for females in the age group of 12 to 60 years in Shinde Wasti, Hadpsar. This camp was organised in co-ordination with NGO Awakening Jagriti, Hadpasar. The aim behind organising such camp is early detection of anaemia in females especially in reproductive age group.
As per the general scenario, women's are giving very less priority to their health. Also we found very large incidence of anaemia in females. Though it is been diagnosed, females from the community neglects this. Sometimes they doesn't know about the treatment for such kind of anaemia. Along with the detection of anaemia We have conducted small session with these group in which focus was given on prevention of anaemia.
Total 160 females were screened during this camp. Reports were distributed to the females. And those cases who need further intervention will be referred to NGO Awakening Jagriti for further intervention.
